TENNIS

HOW MANY PLAYERS PLAY TENNIS?

Each player or team has a maximum of one bounce after the ball has been hit by their opponent to return the ball over the net and within the boundaries of the court. In wheelchair tennis, players get a maximum of two bounces. When a player then fails to return the ball into the correct court, the opponent wins a point. The aim of tennis is to win enough points to win a game, enough games to win a set, and enough sets to win a match.

STRATEGY OF TENNIS

When you walk onto the match court, practice time is over. You can’t make last-minute adjustments to your technique to improve your chances of winning. Your forehand is your forehand, your serve is your serve and your backhand is your backhand - you’ve just got to hope that you execute them well. What you do have complete power over though is your mentality and your tennis singles strategy. These are two areas where you can immediately make a difference in any game, no matter how dire the situation might look!
